Yes, that's right, rapists and even murderers get less time than this young idiot with a 6th grade education. The government never actually proved that this kid attended a terrorist camp. the evidence was that he did talk about support for terroristic activities and that he claimed he attended a training camp for wither a few days or a couple of months. Now, I am no mamby-pamby when it comes to prosecuting people who deserve it, but, I feel that people generally should actually commit the crime, or show serious intent to commit the crime before being thrown in jail, especially for such a long time.  There was no other evidence that he was actually in the process of carrying out any acts of violence.

And yes, he is a US citizen. The punishment should fit the crime. Is this really something a stupid, uneducated, kid should go to jail for 24 years? That's s tough one to justify in my book.
